How has your career developed since joining Horton Treatment Centre?
I have been given the opportunity to start an apprenticeship which will allow me to scrub in October 2017. It has given me the stepping stone to progress further in my career within theatres.
What’s the best thing about your job, and working at Horton Treatment Centre?
Working with such a friendly and diverse team, the people I have met here aren't just colleagues but close friends now, from the other Health Care Assistants right up to the Consultants. The days are always enjoyable meaning I look forward to coming to work.
Why would you recommend Horton Treatment Centre as a place to work to potential employees? 
Ramsay Health Care offers great career progression to anyone who is determined to work for it, they provide this through a great team atmosphere and ethos that doesn't make it all feel like a chore. All staff are very welcoming and on hand to help with any new starters making you feel part of the team from day 1. The facilities are amazing meaning if you are new to this environment it will make your transition as smooth as possible. There is never a dull day!

Acy Joji is the Ward Manager and has worked at Horton Treatment Centre since 2008.

Why did you choose to work here at Horton Treatment Centre?
I chose to work at Horton Treatment Centre because I wanted to work in a surgical unit specialising in Orthopaedics, to help improve my knowledge and skills in this area. The unit has got a good reputation for the high standard of patient care and has the ability to treat both NHS and Private patients.
How has the Horton Treatment Centre supported you and your career?
I have been promoted to nights in charge of the ward team, then to Day Case Lead and most recently to Ward Manager. The Management is very supportive and motivating. They appreciate the skills of their employees. The department I work is very welcoming and like a family.

It’s an amazing environment, approachable Management with lots of in house training available.

Andrea Brock is the Business Administration Lead and has worked here since October 2016.

Why did you choose to work here at Horton Treatment Centre?
Being brand new to Healthcare, it is interesting to see how every department works together as one big team. I enjoy working as part of the team as everyone is so friendly and approachable – I look forward to coming into work in the mornings, very refreshing.

Harriet Canavan is the Marketing and PR Executive for the hospital and has worked here since June 2015.

Why did you choose to work here at Horton Treatment Centre?
I liked the fact that Horton Treatment Centre supports the NHS by offering short wait times for appointments and surgery, alleviating stress at larger NHS hospitals. The hospital is so light and modern; it’s a wonderful facility that patients enjoy visiting. From my first interview at Horton Treatment Centre all the staff were welcoming and very friendly.
How has the Horton Treatment Centre supported you and your career?
Since starting work at Horton Treatment Centre, I have been given to opportunity to also work for another Ramsay Health Care unit in Milton Keynes. This regional coverage means I better understand how different hospitals work and means I can be broader with my marketing campaigns.

The team at Horton Treatment Centre are very supportive; everyone gets along and has the same goal of offering great patient care. The food in the canteen is also really good!

Samantha Huddleston is a Staff Nurse at Horton Treatment Centre and has worked here since May 2015.

Why did you choose to work here at Horton Treatment Centre?
I chose to work at the Horton Treatment Centre because I liked the diversity of the NHS and Private patients.  I had never worked for the private sector before but this unit takes pride in their achievements and actively seek new ways of doing things safely and in the best interest of their patients and employees. Horton Treatment Centre is not just my employer; the people here are like my family!
How has the Horton Treatment Centre supported you and your career?
Since working here I developed my learning and Ramsay Health Care has allowed me to grow and explore at my own pace and supported me in doing what I LOVE, which is looking after a case load of patients safely and effectively with the help of a great team including management.
