Patient is almost back to his golfing best following knee surgery
Friday 31 March 2017

Mr Bryn Hutt had Knee replacement surgery at Horton Treatment Centre back in February and was so pleased with his experience that he has given us a testimonial of his time with us.

Mr Hutt's treatment journey started when he visited his GP in his home town of Shipston-on-Stour. After discussing his knee pain with his doctor, Bryn was referred to Horton Treatment Centre, the hospital of choice for his GP.

Bryn said 'on arrival at the hospital to see Mr Mundy for my first Consultation, it was clear to me that Horton Treatment Centre was a clean, tidy and very well run centre. The staff were very friendly which was reassuring.'

After discussing with Mr Mundy the best method of treatment, Mr Hutt was listed for a total knee replacement.

'On the day of my surgery I was made comfortable, showed to my bed and told exactly what would happen which made me feel relaxed. After surgery, I was taken back to the ward and given a cup of tea and a sandwich. Nothing was too much trouble for the nursing staff'.

Mr Hutt is even still in contact with the patient that he shared a room with. Mr Hutt said 'We have spoken on the phone since being discharged and are now friends!'

'The whole experience was memorable for the all the right reasons'.

Bryn a keen golfer, now retired, works part time at the Feldon Valley Golf Course near to his home and he is looking forward to getting back on the course in May once his knee is fully healed.

He's even invited us along to see him back at work, testing out his new knee on the course so watch this space!
